    FAQs

Dr. Sudbeck is Board Certified.  What does this mean and how does it set him apart from other Psychologists?

Board Certification assures the public and profession that a Clinical Specialist has successfully completed the education, training, and experience requirements of the specialty including a peer-reviewed, performance-based examination designed to assess the competencies required to provide quality services in Clinical Psychology. Specialty level standing is understood as higher than the basic level of competence certified by state licensure.

What is the best way to schedule an appointment?

Calling or emailing TRUE Counseling & Psychological Services, LLC is the best and fastest way to schedule an appointment.  Recognizing that making initial contact can be difficult for some, our Therapists make special efforts to be kind and personable when talking to a potential new client.  No detailed information is shared during the initial telephone call.  Instead, individuals are simply asked to give general information about what they are looking for and how therapy may be helpful.

How long will I wait for an appointment?

Our Therapists cannot guarantee that they are always accepting new clients. However, this regularly changes and we try hard to get most new clients in within 2-3 weeks. In the case that we are unable to accept new clients, the office will make efforts to collaborate with you to find potential referrals in the Omaha Community.

Does TRUE Counseling & Psychological Services, LLC accept my insurance?

Our Therapists accept most major insurance carriers. However, all clients are encouraged to contact their insurance company prior to scheduling to ensure that the Therapist selected is in-network.  Clients are also encouraged to talk with their insurance company about their Mental Health Benefits.

    Can I pay privately?

Yes, fees can be discussed upon scheduling your first appointment.  Payments are accepted via cash, check, credit/debit card, and HSA card.
